Parade
Parade is Prince's eighth album. It is the last album co-credited to the Revolution and is the soundtrack album to the film "Under The Cherry Moon". It saw another change in Prince's style, with a more prominent funk influence alongside jazz and orchestral elements.
The album saw Prince move away from his last four records, with less prominent guitars, synths and drum machines. Instead, the album features live drumming, acoustic and orchestral elements, horns and new synthesizers like the Fairlight and Roland G-707. The Revolution appear on three songs, with Wendy and Lisa appearing on several others.
Prince and the Revolution toured Parade throughout 1986, with a series of dates in the United States in the spring and summer, followed by the Parade Tour in August and September.
