The Epiphone Emperor Thinline is an electric guitar used by Prince in the 1980s and 1990s. Prince first used this hollowbody Epiphone on the Parade tour. It is like an “archtop” jazz guitar but has a slim (thinline) body. It appears on the song "Everybody Wants What They Don't Got" from the Sign O The Times Super Deluxe Edition
. Prince had two models in sunburst and natural. He would use this guitar on and off until the Gold Experience era. The sunburst Emperor remains in the collection at Paisley Park.
Miko Weaver and Tony M also used Epiphone Emperor Thinlines.
